Peters Township Farmers Market is open from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, through Sept. 26, in the parking lot of St. David’s Episcopal Church, East McMurray Road in Venetia. The market features more than 25 vendors, weekly entertainment and prepared foods. The St. Ann’s Women’s Guild will hold a lunch and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the courthouse porch in Waynesburg.

Mon Valley YMCA, 101 Taylor Road, will offer the gardening class “Gardening Through the Seasons” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2. This session will focus on summer gardening: deadheading, watering, pollinating by hand, and reviving the soil. This is the fourth in a series of six sessions. Cost is $7 per session.
