Salvation Army kicks of Red Kettle Drive
The Washington Salvation Army kicked off its annual Red Kettle Drive this week, with a local goal this year of $80,000.
Funds raised from the Red Kettles provide help for neighbors in need throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to help ring the bells outside of area stores.
To volunteer, call Captain Jason Imhoff at 724-225-5740 ext. 113. In addition to traditional Kettles, there will be 50 tabletop versions set up at area businesses around town.
Donations of this nature help provide a variety of services such as showers for those in transition, utility help, food, youth programs and more.
