Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington, will hold a winter craft and vendor sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, in the chapel at 835 South Main Street, Washington. There will be a 50/50 raffle and auction. Proceeds benefit the employee Christmas party and the Benevolent Fund. Food will be available to purchase.
Neighborhood Memory Café will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 905 East McMurray Road, Venetia. Guest speaker will be Cindy Garfold from the Western Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Development Center, a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) that specializes in locating people who are at-risk, vulnerable and special needs that are missing. The White Oak American Legion Post #701 located at 2813 Capital Street will sponsor an oldies dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, featuring music from the 50s and 60s by Candy and Mike. Admission is $5 per person. All proceeds benefit veterans programs. For information, call 724-984-6611.
A Christmas craft and bake sale will be held Dec. 1 and 2 at St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, 201 E. main Street, Uniontown (upstairs school hall). Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. There will also be cookbooks, candy, decorations, Nativity displays and raffles. Admission is free. Bentworth Ministerium Community Choir will share its Christmas Cantata “Journey of a King” at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Washington Alliance Church, 246 Sanitarium Road, Washington. This is a free event.
Peters Township Annual Tree Lighting will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Peters Township Library & Municipal Complex. Holiday music will be presented by the McMurray School Choir.
