The Ladies Guild of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church will hold its annual flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6 at the church located at the corner of Sixth Street and Marne Avenue in Monongahela. Fawcett United Methodist Church, Bridgeville, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6. In addition to Christmas items, linens and more, Rada Knives, Enjoyment Books, Sarris candy bars and Christian greeting cards will be available for purchase. The 10th Annual Peters Township Chamber Chase 5K Run/Walk will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Peterswood Park on Arrowhead Trail. Awards for both the run and walk will be offered at this family-friendly, USATF sanctioned 5K. To register, visit www.ptcoc.org.
The West Newton Center for Active Adults will offer a one-day bus trip to Wheeling Casino on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The bus departs from behind Giant Eagle on Robertson Street at 10 a.m. and returns from Wheeling at 5 p.m. Cost is $25 (includes $25 in free play from the casino).
