Slots revenue drops slightly at Meadows, rises a little statewide
Gross revenue from slot machine play at Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos last month rose a marginal 0.42 percent from September 2017, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday.
Seven venues posted decreases from the previous year, including the Meadows Casino. The North Strabane Township facility posted a small drop of 0.27 percent, from $17,702,778.30 in revenue in September 2017 to $17,655,715.43.
Gross revenue statewide was $196,209,617.90 last month, an increase from $195,396,966.03.
Rivers Casino, on Pittsburgh’s North Side, posted a 2.04 percent gain ($22,995,461.20 from $22,535,898.56). Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, in Fayette County, experienced a small decline of 1.04 percent – to $2,525,760.54 from $2,552,179.71.
Slots play last month resulted in $102,279,882 in tax revenue.
An average of 25,471 slot machines operated statewide in September.
