The Washington County Firemen’s Association in conjunction with the National Fallen Firefighters Association will conduct a Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service at noon on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 895 Western Ave., Houston (across the street from the Mark West gas site).

The National Pike Chapter of the DAR will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at the Woodlands Clubhouse. The program is “A Brief History of World War I” by Jack Puglisi. Refreshments will be served. For information, call Carol Crawford at 724-728-4558.
