Peters Township High School presents “Antigone” at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 11-13. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Mon Valley YMCA’s Harvest Dance will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, featuring line dancing, ballroom dance, Latin, oldies and dance demonstrations. There will be a swing dance lesson from 6 to 6:30, with music and dance instruction provided by DJ Brian Lee. Cost is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
A harvest dance will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Mon Valley YMCA, 101 Taylor Run Road, Route 88, Monongahela. Dance instructor and disc jockey Brian Lee will teach swing dance (jitterbug), “Monster Mash” line dance and more. Social dancing will continue until 10. There will be dance exhibitions including a tango by Dr. Ho and Tyan and West Coast Swing and Waltz by Brian Lee and Nancy. Couples or singles are welcome – no partner required. Peters Township Recreation Center will hold Yoga by the Lake at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, near the shelter at Peters Lake Park.
