Fairmount cemetery is planning its annual fall clean up. Lot owners are asked to have decorations removed by Oct. 13. For information, call 724-663-4777.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will offer a Needle and Yarn Craft Workshop at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Mingo Creek Park Office. The craft will be a crayon drip art pumpkin. Bring a blow dryer, if able. Participants may also bring an extra white (faux or real) pumpkin, any size. Refreshments and dessert will be provided. Fee is $3. Preregistration is required by calling the Washington County Parks Office at 724-228-6867.

The 9th Annual Rosary Rally will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 13, at St. Thomas More Church located at the corner of Oxford Drive and Ft. Couch Road. The event will be held rain or shine. For more information, call Marci Constantino at 412-720-4850.

As part of Pennsylvania Archaeology Month, Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village will host Archaeology Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in partnership with the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology. All Archaeology Day activities are included with regular admission to Meadowcroft. Admission is $15 for adults, $14 for senior citizens, and $7 for students and children ages 6-17. The Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Room 104, Courthouse Square. Mike Nizinski will present an instructional program on “Backyard Bird Photography.”
