Zonta Club of Washington County will hold its awards luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesady, Nov. 13, in the Rossin Ballroom at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington. Peters Township Parks and Recreation Department will offer an eight-hour AARP Driving Class Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 12 and 13, and a four-hour Refresher Class on Monday, Dec. 3. A complimentary Veteran’s Day luncheon will be offered between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Chartiers Township Community Center, 2013 Community Center Drive, Houston. The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA (MGA) will present “Miles of Aisles: a 75th Birthday Tribute to Joni Mitchell” at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the Hard Rock Cafe, Pittsburgh. Doors open at 7. The event will feature more than a dozen of the region’s top musicians. There will be basket raffles, silent auctions and a limited-edition Pittsburgh quilt raffle. Arrive when doors open at 7 to visit event sponsors including Thrivent Financial providing financial planning tips, a make-up consultant and chair massages – all included in the admission price of $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
