Churches and individuals who desire to donate to the voucher program for those receiving food from Calvin’s food bank may do so at this time. The dates to distribute the vouchers are Oct. 27 and Nov. 17. Those wishing to donate may send a check made out to Attn: Gary Seelye, Calvin Food Bank at Calvin U.P. Church, P.O. Box 142, Brownsville, PA 15417.

The addiction recovery ministry There is Hope, a Christ centered 12-step program, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 10, 17 and 24, at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. For details, call 724-434-4597 or 724-785-3042.

Brownsville Area Ministerial Association will meet at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville. The Rev. Aleda Menchyk will be the hostess.

A prayer service for first responders will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Brownsville Cast Iron Bridge Amphitheater in Snowden Square Park. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Historic Church of St. Peter, 300 Shaffner Ave., Brownsville.

Malden Christian Fellowship Church, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, will host an afternoon of music and fellownship beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. Bring a covered dish to share (optional). The day will be presented by The Bentworth Ministerium Community Choir and hosted by the Malden Christian Fellowship Church and the There is Hope Recovery Ministry. There will be appearances by the BMCC, Sanitarium Road and Ordinary People. The event is free. For information, call 724-785-4280.
