Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington, following a light lunch. The program will be “Delightful Dahlias” with Ron Berman, master gardner and member of the Greater Pittsburgh Dahlias Society.
St. John Byzantine Catholic Church’s 12th Annual Classic Car Show will be held Sept. 23 in the parking lot of the church located at 185 E. Main St., Uniontown. Registration is from noon to 2 p.m. with the car show following until 4, rain or shine. Registration fee is $10, with the first 150 cars receiving dash plaques and gifts. More than 25 trophies will be awarded, including Father Ron’s Favorite. Judging classes range from years 1900 to 2002. The event will feature an oldies disc jockey, 50/50, drawing contest, Byzantine auction and food including sandwiches, soups, halushki, baked goods and more. A golf cart shuttle will be available. Central Greene Scholarship Trust’s 6th Annual Trivia Contest will take place at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at Waynesburg Central High School. Doors open at 5 p.m. Attendees must be seated by 5:45. Teams of 4 to 8 players are allowed – four players, $30 per player; five or more players, $25 per player; spectators, $10 per person. The California Area Historical Society presents Discover Cleveland, a one-day bus trip, on Oct. 17. Depart from one of three locations: Center in the Woods, California, 5:45 a.m.; Kings Family Restaurant, Bentleyville, 6 a.m.; Park-and-ride, Washington, 6:30 a.m. Cost is $124 per person.
