“Resurrection,” a dramatic musical by Alabaster Performing Arts, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at St. Cecilia Church in Grindstone. Waynesburg University will host poet Geffrey Davis as part of the b.f. maiz Speaker Series Monday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall. Davis is the author of two books of poetry, with the second winning the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets. The event is free.

The Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Amwell Township building. Sue Luisi will discuss the history and formation of the Martha Washington Garden Club.
The Washington Hospital Auxiliary will hold a Paradise Cookies Sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, April 8 and 9, in the Community Room.
The Greene County Department of Recreation will host the 2019 Dock to Lock 5K Run/Walk along the Greene River Trail on Saturday, May 11. Participants can sign up for the race at a preregistration rate of $18 by April 26, or pay a $20 registration fee on the day of the race. Race-day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:15 a.m. at the Rices Landing Fire Hall. At 8:30, participants will be bused to the starting line of the Greene River Trail at the Greene Cove Yacht Club in Millsboro. The race will begin at 9. Following the race, a reception will be held at the Rices Landing Fire Hall. Awards will be given for the top three male and female runners and walkers overall, as well as the top three male and female runners and walkers in various age categories.
