West Newton Senior Center will offer a one-day bus trip, “Potomac Eagle,” on Saturday, May 18. Depart Bible Alliance Church parking lot at 9 a.m. and Belle Vernon Park-n-Ride on Route 201 at 9:15. Travel to Romney, W.Va., for a three-hour train ride on the Potomac Eagle, including lunch. Cost is $120. Payment is a reservation; no seats are guaranteed until money is received. Monessen Community Blood Drive will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Senior Community Center (Knights of Columbus Hall), 1925 Grande Blvd., Monessen. LifeSpan’s Mon Valley Senior Resource Center will offer a Senior Picnic in the Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Blue Top Pavilion in Renzie Park, McKeesport. The event, in cooperation with the Area Agency on Aging, will feature Darryl & Kim, bingo, lunch, raffles and prizes. Tickets are $10. Advance purchase is required by calling 412-664-5434.
