The Hickory, Midway and McDonald Lions Clubs of District 14-M sponsored a dinner recognizing the senior members of the National Honor Society at Fort Cherry School on March 13. The dinner was held at St. Alphonsus Church in McDonald with Lannie Frattare, former “Voice of the PIRATES” and professor at Waynesburg University, serving as keynote speaker. This was the 51st annual banquet honoring the students, with the three clubs rotating as host each year. Dr. Jill Jacoby, superintendent of Fort Cherry, and Kathryn Robinson, president of the National Honor Society, also spoke. A total of 17 students were recognized.
