Mental Health Association seeks nominees
The Mental Health Association, 575 N. Main St., Washington, is seeking nominees for “Neighbor” and “Professional” of the year.
The nominees should be people who promote good mental health in a significant way. They will be good listeners, faithful friends and individuals possessing a contagious, positive attitude. They should be willing to help troubled people without prejudice or stigma by their words or actions. They make those around them feel loved, secure, worthwhile and challenged to be the best they can be.
In addition, MHA has adopted a new category for recognition, the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize employers and businesses who support those who deal with mental health issues.
The Mental Health Association encourages the public, civic organizations and social clubs to make nominations. Nomination forms are available by contacting MHA at 724-225-2061. All nominations are due by May 6.
Recipients of the awards will be selected by a special committee of the MHA Board of Directors. The awards will be presented at the annual dinner May 17 at Lone Pine Country Club.
