Gertrude Betty Sims of Canonsburg will celebrate 100 years of blessings at a gathering of family and friends at Julian’s Banquet Facility in Washington.

Mrs. Sims was born April 22, 1919, in Roanoke, Va.

Her husband is the late Arthur D. Sims.

She has two daughters, Deneen Sims and Carolyn Sims, both of Canonsburg.

Mrs. Sims enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, watching television, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
