Christmas Craft ADVENTure will be held at Trinity Church of Washington from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 4, 11 and 18. Participants can enjoy a family friendly fellowship where all will create Advent crafts, have snacks and participate in a weekly Advent devotional. This is a free community event. Friday Faith Café at Faith United Presbyterian Church in Washington presents “Christmas With Seventy times Seven,” featuring B.J. Collins on keyboards and vocals, his son Bo Collins on bass guitar and vocals, drummer Al Mosovsky, and guitarist Shawn Opfer. The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6. This is an all-ages, family friendly event. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
California Borough Recreation Authority and Cal U. will host California Holly Day from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Natali Student Center. The free community event is scheduled to include performances from the Cal U. choir, carolers and students who performed in the recent production of “Elf The Musical.” Santa Claus is expected to arrive by 4:30 p.m., when there will be a photo opportunity as well as cookies, hot chocolate, and treat bags for the first 100 children who attend. Blaze, the Vulcan mascot, will also again be part of the holiday tradition. During the two-hour Holly Day, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be shown continuously in Vulcan Theatre. There will also be a holiday craft fair in the performance center. The Cal U. Bookstore will be open, and local businesses, churches and Cal U. student organizations will have activity tables throughout the Natali Student Center.
Heaven Bound Ministries, in association with the First Church of the Nazarene, will offer a free Christmas concert to the community at 6 p.m. Dec. 8 at First Church of the Nazarene, 115 Deerfield Lane, Waynesburg. No reservations or tickets are required.
