A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, at American Legion Post 175, 168 Park Ave., Washington. Cost is $8 for all-you-can-eat. Ages 12 and younger are free. There will also be a bake sale. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase clothes and blankets for the homeless and sheltered veterans. Newly purchased and/or handmade blankets will also be collected and donated to both the Patriot House and also deployed military personnel.
The Golden Triangle Decorative Painters will meet on Sunday at Finleyville I.O.O.F. Hall, 3684 Finleyville-Elrama Road. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the business meeting will start at noon. Lunch will follow. Members will be painting walker bags to be donated to a local nursing home. Cherl Rol is confirmed to teach June 28-30. Plans are underway for the club’s annual basket luncheon to be held on April 28 at the Fairview Sunset Room. For information, call Cindie at 724-222-7449.
