St. Damien of Molokia Parish of Monongahela will hold its eighth annual SummerFest from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, and 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at First and Main Streets, behind Dierken’s Pharmacy. The Nutones will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, and The Epics will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. There will be a bake sale, bingo, basket raffle, children’s and adult games, and small games of chance. Food will include various Italian, Slovak and American offerings, wings, pizza, funnel cakes, ice cream, barbecue, fresh-cut fries, fresh-squeezed lemonade and other refreshments. Admission and parking are free. Mass will be celebrated in the park at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The annual Staffen reunion will be held July 20 at Cedar Creek Park, Pavilion 2. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. For more information, call 412-302-8359.
