NAACP officers installed
New NAACP officers and executive committee members were recently installed at Nazareth Baptist Church. The Hon. Tracy McDonald Kemp performed the installation. Dr. Andrew Goudy was sworn in as president. Dr. Goudy graduated from Trinity High School and then went on to obtain BS and MS degrees in chemistry from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He later obtained a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked as a chemistry teacher in Canon-McMillan School District and as a chemistry professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Delaware State University. He recently retired from Delaware State University and moved back to Washington. Other NAACP members who were installed include: Phyllis Waller – first vice president, Emanuel Archie – second vice president, Carolyn Dunklin – secretary, LaVette Archie – assistant secretary, Carla Ivery – treasurer, and Jeanette Fedd – assistant treasurer.
