Charleroi Area Ministerial Association (CAMA) announces Lenten services at 7 p.m. at the following churches:

First Christian Church (DOC), 61 Walnut Ridge Road, Sunday, March 10, with Pastor Beverly Gross

City Reach Church, Sunday, March 17, with Father Bob Hanna of St. Mary’s Anglican Church

First United Methodist Church, 601 Lincoln Ave., Sunday, March 24, with Pastor Greg Anders

St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 509 6th Street, Sunday, March 31, with Pastor Charles Cochran of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 327 Washington Ave., Sunday, April 7, with Pastor Frank Zeman of Mid Mon Valley Lutheran Parish

There will be no CAMA service on Palm Sunday, April 14.

This year’s CAMA Good Friday service will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the Speers United Methodist Church, 810 Jane Ave, Charleroi.

First United Methodist Church of Brownsville, 215 Church Street, will hold a 7 p.m. Lenten service on Thursday, March 14. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.

The Historic Church of St. Peter, 300 Shaffner Ave., Brownsville, will offer a Tenebrae service at 8 p.m. Good Friday, April 19. The Bentworth Ministerium Community Choir will provide music.

Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, will offer a Lenten service at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.

Peters Creek Presbyterian Church will offer the following Easter and Holy Week services: 11 a.m. service on Palm Sunday, April 14; 7 p.m. Service of Communion on Maundy Thursday, April 18; 11 a.m. Easter Sunday service on April 21. A Children’s Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch will precede the Easter Sunday service, at 9:45. Services are held at St. David’s Episcopal Parish Hall, 905 East McMurray Road, Venetia. St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 509 6th Street, Charleroi, announces its Lenten worship schedule. On Palm Sunday, April 14, a 10 a.m. Solemn High Mass only will be offered followed by a pancake breakfast. Maundy Thursday Mass is at 7 p.m. April 18, with foot washing, stripping of the alter and all-night vigil. On Good Friday, April 19, there will be a 10 a.m. Mass and Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. Holy Saturday services on April 20 include a 7 p.m. Solemn High Mass, the Easter Vigil. On Easter Sunday, April 21, there will be a 10 a.m. Solemn High Mass. For information, call 724-249-3219.

Thomas Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four, will offer the Lenten study for adults, “He Chose the Nails: What God Did to Win Your Heart” by Max Lucado, at 9:15 a.m. Sundays, March 10 through Easter Sunday, April 21 in Fellowship Hall. A Lenten study, “24 Hours That Changed the World,” will be offered for children ages 3 through 11 during the children’s Sunday school time beginning at 10:30 a.m. Passover Bible Study “Passover: The Story of Easter from the Beginning” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, March 13-April 17, in Fellowship Hall. Holy Week and Easter Sunday services will include: Good Friday service, 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, at the church; Easter Sunday Sunrise Service, 7 a.m. April 21, at North Strabane Park, with an Easter breakfast to follow from 7:45 to 9:30 in the Christian Life Center at the church.
