EQT Foundation announces scholarships for Greene, Washington students
EQT Foundation has created several new scholarships for students in Greene and Washington counties.
The EQT Students of Excellence Scholarship Program will award five $1,000 scholarships, plus one scholarship of up to $18,000 per school year, renewable for up to three consecutive years, to graduating high school students in each county. Eligible students must pursue a degree in a field that is utilized in the energy industry, such as computer science or information technology; civil, chemical or petroleum engineering; energy or land management; environmental science; geology; safety science; or welding.
The scholarships are being facilitated through local partners with the Community Foundation of Greene County and the Washington County Community Foundation. Each community foundation will solicit and review applications and distribute awards to students in their respective county.
Applications through the Washington County Community Foundation are due by April 1, while the Community Foundation of Greene County is asking for applications to be submitted by April 15. Application requirements can be found on each of the community foundation websites at www.wccf.net and www.cfgcpa.org.
