Cal U. males ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’
Nearly 200 male students slipped on high-heeled shoes and paraded across the campus of California University of Pennsylvania April 30 for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence. The event was sponsored by the university’s End Violence Center. “Walk a Mile is a fun opportunity to educate our campus about a serious subject and rally the community, because it’s on us to take action to prevent sexual assault,” said Noelle Marinelli, graduate assistant in the End Violence Center. “This event demonstrates that men are willing and able to be courageous partners in making the world a better place, because it’s on us.”
