1 min read

Fifty students in grades four through eight competed in West Greene School District’s spelling bee Feb. 12. Teacher Jeffrey Polander, who coordinated the spelling bee, stands with the top three spellers, from left, Darren Knight, first place; Billy Whitlatch, second place; and Colin Brady, third place. The students were awarded plaques and a cash prize. Darren, a two-time champion, will compete at Robert Morris University March 7 in the Western Pennsylvania Spelling Bee.
