Memorial Day services
Amwell Township
The Amwell Township Community Memorial Day service will be held on May 28 at 10 a.m. on the lawn of the Lower Ten Mile Presbyterian Church in Amity. A parade will precede the program, which includes special music, speakers, and recognition of veterans. Refreshments will follow. For more information, call 724-228-1031.

The Slovan VFW has released its schedule for Memorial Day services in the Burgettstown area. It is as follows:
Paris Cemetery at 8 a.m., Chestnut Ridge Cemetery at 8:15 a.m., Grandview Cemetery at 8:30 a.m., Langeloth honor roll at 8:50 a.m., Eldersville honor roll at 9:10 a.m., Cross Creek Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., Atlasburg VFW at 9:45 a.m., Slovan VFW at 10:15 a.m. Fairview Cemetery at 10:35 a.m., Cherry Valley honor roll at 10:50 a.m., Bulger honor roll at 11:10 a.m., Joffre honor roll at 11:25 a.m. and Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at 11:40 a.m. and Burgettstown American Legion at 11:55 a.m.
Marianna
Marianna Legion Post 744 will hold events at the following times and locations: 8:10 a.m., leave the legion, 8:30 a.m., Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Cemetery, 9:00 a.m., Franklin Cemetery, 9:30 a.m., Dunkard Church, 10 a.m., Highland Ridge Church, 10:30 a.m., Lone Pine Cemetery, 11 a.m., Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 11:30 a.m., North Ten Mile Baptist Church, Noon, Marianna Catholic Cemetery, 12:30 p.m., Horne Cemetery, 12:45 p.m., Russian Cemetery, 1:30 p.m., cemetery at the legion.
McDonald borough
The McDonald borough Memorial Day parade will begin at 11 a.m.
Midway Borough
Memorial Day
9:30 a.m – Primrose Honor Roll, laying of wreath, gun salute
9:30 a.m. – Midway Honor Roll, reading of names, followed at 9:45 a.m. by laying of wreath, gun salute
10 a.m. – Center Cemetery, services
Monongahela
The Monongahela Veterans Council and city of Monongahela will conduct Memorial Day Services Monday. The Parade will line up at Fourth and Main streets at 8:30 a.m. and step off at 9 a.m. with the U.S. Marines Color Guard in the lead.
A 9:45 a.m. service will follow in the Veterans Section of Monongahela Cemetery.
Following the main program, veterans service organizations will conduct brief services at several area locations: 11:15 a.m., Victory Hill; 11:45, New Eagle Honor Roll; 12:15 p.m., Fisher Heights Honor Roll; 12:45, Sacred Heart Cemetery; 1:15, Van Voorhis Honor Roll; 1:45, Ginger Hill Grange; 2:15, Hazelkirk Honor Roll.
Washington
American Legion Post 175, in conjunction with VFW Post 927, will hold a ceremony at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day. Daniel Bailey is the speaker. From there, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the courthouse and then an honor guard at the Washington Cemetery.
