Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to display watercolor paintings
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in Oakdale is hosting “Watercolor Works from the Garden” in its welcome center starting Thursday, March 16.
The exhibit is the culmination of a two-year collaborative project between the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden and the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and features the works of 22 artists. Pittsburgh Watercolor Society artists began visiting the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in 2022 and produced these works from on-site sketches, photography or plein air painting. According to Keith S. Kaiser, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden executive director, “The variety of pieces reflects the natural beauty of this region found throughout our 65 acres and woodlands….”
