Point Park professor has solo exhibit at Silver Eye

1 min read

The work of April Friges, associate professor of photography at Point Park University, is being featured in a solo exhibit at the Silver Eye Center for Photography through Saturday, April 22.

“This show is the culmination of 10 years of photographic darkroom experimentation,” Friges said. “The work in this exhibit speaks directly to methods pioneered in photography’s early histories.”

This will be Friges’ first solo exhibit at Silver Eye. Her work has been included in such venues as the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, Kan., the LAXART art center in Los Angeles and ForYourArt, also in Los Angeles. Her work is also in the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.

Silver Eye Center for Photography is at 4808 Penn Ave., in Pittsburgh. Additional information is available at silvereye.org.
