Pittsburgh Ballet presents “The Master’s Program: Balanchine and Beyond”
Three works from internationally acclaimed, award-winning ballet choreographers will take center stage at the Benedum Center April 14-16 with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s (PBT) “The Master’s Program: Balanchine and Beyond.”
The program features works that showcase classical dancing with contemporary twists, with live music from the PBT Orchestra. The program will include Tony Award-winner Christopher Wheeldon’s “Polyphonia,” Jorma Elo’s “1st Flash” and “Theme and Variations” from George Balanchine.
Audience members will have the opportunity to meet Adam W. McKinney, PBT’s new artistic director, as well as to join PBT online and at the theater for a series of pre-and post-show programs for “The Master’s Program.”
Three performances are set at the Benedum: Friday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets or information are available at pbt.org or by calling 412-456-6666.
