Crossroads Ministries will host a trunk or treat on Oct. 25 from 6:30-8 p.m. Those participating are invited to dress up. An adult must accompany all children. The event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required. There are three time slots: 6:30-7, 7-7:30 and 7:30-8 p.m. Crossroads Ministries is located at 81 Walter Long Rd., Finleyville, one mile south of Trax Farms, overlooking Route 88. Washington Hospital Auxiliary will host a sale at Washington Hospital of M&R’s Chocolates on Oct. 25, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Washington Hospital’s upper lobby. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
VFW Post 1409 Auxiliary at 793 E. Main St., Monongahela, will host a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot Oct. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. If you are interested in participating, please contact Lynne Thompson at 724-909-0941.
Concordia Visiting Nurses will host a pet-friendly Hounds, Healthcare and Hops event on Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Voodoo Brewing Co., at 23 West Pike St., Houston. All proceeds to the event will go to Pet Search, an all-volunteer animal rescue and placement service in Washington, and admission is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring their dogs. The event will feature adoptable dogs from Pet Search as well as a basket raffle (attendees can bring a pet item, such as collars, bags of treats or leashes, to donate for a free ticket to win, or tickets are $5 each, three for $10). The WCGSA will host a trunk or treat at The Center on Strawberry, 59 E. Strawberry Ave., adjoining parking lot, on Oct. 27 from 5-7 p.m. The family-friendly event, with live music, free parking, games and candy, will move inside in inclement weather. All are welcome.
