Washington Italian Festival schedule

The Washington Italian Festival kicks off Friday, Sept. 20, with a concert featuring “Shades of Time” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Pavilion, 139 S. Main St., Washington.

Full festivities begin at noon Saturday, Sept. 21, at the pavilion, where guests can enjoy Italian music, learn about Italian culture, shop for merchandise from local vendors, and enjoy Italian food and beverages. Culinary specialties will be offered by Atria’s, Bella’s on Fort Couch, Chicco Baccello, Forlini’s, Vesta 88 River House, and others.

Admission is free.

Schedule:

Noon – Opening ceremony

12:30 p.m. – “New Vintage Swing Band”

1:30 p.m. – Ceremony honoring festival members and recognizing Rich Celani

2 p.m. – Cooking demonstration with Chef Guiseppe Di Gristina of Pastaio Cucina

2:30 p.m. – Musical performance by Cat Tedder

3:45 p.m. – Italian folk dances, Allegro Dance Company

4:15 p.m. – Italian Folk Tales with Paulette Marasco Stout

4:30 p.m. – Mirella the Musician

5:30 p.m. – Interlude with DJ Jon Ridge

6 p.m. – Washington Jazz Orchestra

7 p.m. – Interlude with DJ Jon Ridge

7:30 p.m. – Tom Terling Band

9 p.m. – Closing remarks
