Jefferson United Methodist Church is holding a soup sale on Friday, Dec. 5. Soups available are vegetable, ham and bean, potato or wedding, and the cost is $10/quart. The soups must be ordered in advance before Wednesday, Dec. 3 by calling 724-883-2161. They can be picked up between noon and 1 p.m. at Jefferson Community Center, 190 Washington St., Jefferson.
Children are invited to Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 in the chapel of First United Methodist Church Washington, 29 N, Beau St., Washington. Pancakes – plain, chocolate chip, blueberry or sprinkle – will be served with sausage. A gluten-free station will also be available. Children and pets can dress up and receive a framed photo with Santa for $5. There are no tickets for the breakfast, but a free-will offering will be accepted to support the church’s building service fund.
The Upper Chartiers Creek Watershed Association (UCCWA) has invited members of the Washington County community to En-ROADS, a free interactive simulation. The purpose of En-ROARD is to help government officials, those in the private sector and community members understand long-term consequences of policy choices. The event is on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Washington County Conservation District, 50 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington.

The monthly meeting of the South Hills Coin Club will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bethel Park Municipal Building, 5100 Library Ave., Bethel Park.
