Warm Up with Community & Kindness, a free community dinner, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. at California United Methodist Church social hall, 227 Third Street, California. For more information, call the church office at 724-938-2270.

The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Entries from the 2026 Arts Contest will be on display. Contest winners from the Carmichaels Area School District will be recognized. Local artist Danielle Nyland will be the guest speaker. Club members are reminded to bring valentines for veterans. New members are welcome.

Washington County Health and Welfare Council is holding a meeting on Friday, Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. at Blueprints, 150 W. Beau Street in Suite 408, Washington. Speaker Sharon Oliver will discuss the importance of basic event training. No membership dues/fee are associated with joining the council and registration is not necessary to attend the meeting.

California United Women in Faith will host a video presentation and community discussion featuring Carolyn Maull McKinstry, author and survivor of the 1963 Birmingham church bombing, on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. The presentation will be held in the social hall at California United Methodist Church, 227 Third St., California. The public is welcome.

Mon Valley Paws will hold its monthly reorganization meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at the Italian Club, 112 7th St., Monessen at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of animals. For more information, call 724-493-8305.

Long Branch Community Grange in Coal Center is holding Souper Tuesdays throughout February. Soups are minestrone, potato and 16-bean. Limited quantities of frozen chicken and dumpling, tomato bisque, broccoli and cheese, corn chowder, vegetable and ham and bean. Cost is $10 per quart or $5 per pint. Good Samaritan Hospice will host Good Mourning Devotional, a free weekly virtual grief support group, on Thursdays at 7 a.m. through Jan. 14, 2027. Each session will include a brief devotional, opportunities for sharing, and support. Participants are welcome throughout the year, and registration is required to obtain the Zoom link. Celebration Villa of Lakemont Farms in Bridgeville is holding a Caregiver Support Group, meeting at 6 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
