A free community dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 at California United Methodist Church, 227 Third Street, California. The menu includes roast turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. Liberty Chapel, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will hold its monthly chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5. The dinner is held the first Thursday of every month. Donations, which benefit the missions and outreach, will be accepted. For more information, call 724-222-7180.
The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. at the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 104 W. South St., Carmichaels, for its annual Rose’s Tea Party. Matthew Cumberledge, executive director of the Greene County Historical Society and Museum, will be the guest speaker. Club members are reminded to bring Birthday Cake Kits for the food bank. New members are welcome.
Giant Oaks Garden Club’s monthly meeting will be on Thursday, March 5 at St. David’s, 905 McMurray Road, Venetia. Lunch and meeting are at 11:15. West Finley Cemetery board will hold its annual meeting on Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m at Windy Gap Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 132 Burnsville Road, West Finley.
Bryan Karner will present to Jefferson College Historical Society on Monday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. He will provide an introduction to backyard beekeeping. The meeting will be held at the Canonsburg Senior Center, 30 E. Pike St., Canonsburg. The public is welcome.
California United Women in Faith (UWF) is hosting a meeting to discuss food insecurity. A speaker will provide information about the local food bank and other resources that are available. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 10 in the social hall of California United Methodist Church, 227 Third St., California. The meeting is not limited to women, and anyone can attend.

Mon Valley Academy for the Arts (MVAA) invites teens to participate in its ongoing Crafty Conversations program, held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Peter J. Daley Cultural Center, 119 Brownsville Ave., Brownsville. The free sessions offer teens a chance to express themselves artistically.
