California United Methodist Church’s Care and Share Thrift Store has the following sales: March 19-20, 50% off spring coats and short-sleeved tops; March 26-27, $1 children’s clothing. The store is open from 6 to 8 p.m .on Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.

Long Branch Community Grange, 210 Chestnut St., Coal Center, will begin its season with a performance from acoustic guitarist Dave Hixon on Saturday, March 28. UPMC Washington Hospital Auxiliary is holding a raffle for $500 in meat from 84 Packing Co., and $200 from Walmart. The $5 tickets can be purchased in the gift shop and main lobby at the hospital. Drawing is March 31 at noon.
Penn Highlands Mon Valley will host “Let’s Talk Women’s Health: Pancakes and Purses” on Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center. Penn Highlands Mon Valley is located at 1163 Country Club Road in Monongahela. During the breakfast, attendees will enjoy a pancake breakfast while listening to presentations on women’s health topics. Presenters include: Natalie Furgiuele, MD, FACS, director of the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Breast Program; Walter Cox, MD, gynecologist; Shaina Lipchinsky, CRNP, nurse practitioner specializing in gynecological care; Thomas Sisk, MD, family medicine physician.
