Charleroi seniors receive Brunetti scholarship
Two graduating Charleroi Area High School seniors, Ethan Signorini and Adelyn Walsh, have been selected to receive $1,500 Nicholas Brunetti Memorial Scholarships.
The scholarships are provided by Angelo and Carol Brunetti in memory of their son, Nicholas, who graduated from Peters Township High School in 1996 and from Ohio University in 2000. He passed away in March 2012 after a skiing accident in Breckinridge, Colo.
The scholarship is made possible through the annual sale of calendars using Carol Brunetti’s photographs and through other monetary donations.
Signorini will attend Penn State University to study aerospace engineering. Walsh plans to attend West Virginia University to study physics and chemistry.
Both students has excelled academically, maintaining a 4.5 GPA as well as being involved in many extracurricular activities and community service projects.
Since 2012, 21 scholarships have been awarded to Washington County seniors. Those interested in donating to the fund can contact Carol Brunetti at cbb265@gmail.com.
