Washington Italian Festival schedule
The Washington Italian Festival is celebrating 10 years on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Community Pavilion, 139 S. Main St., downtown Washington. Admission is free.
The evening before, a kick-off concert will be held at the pavilion from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. featuring Shades of Time and is open to the public.
Festivities begin at noon the next day when guests can enjoy Italian music, learn about Italian culture, shop for merchandise and enjoy Italian food and beverages.
Schedule
All Day: DJ AJ Fresh; food, drink, and vendor booths
Noon: Opening ceremony with blessing, honor guard by Young Marines, national anthem
12:30 p.m.: New Vintage Big Band
1:30 p.m.: Ceremony honoring Italian American veterans presented by Washington County Commissioner Larry Maggi
2 p.m.: Musical performance by J.R. Rebelo
3 p.m.: Italian folk dances: Allegro Dance Company with special guest Salvatore Guglielmo
3:45 p.m.: Mirella the Musician
5 p.m.: Washington Jazz Orchestra
6:30 p.m.: Street Players
7 p.m.: 50/50 and Wagon of Cheer Drawing
