Wine vs. Beer
India Pale Ale or Pinot Grigio? Pilsner or Cabernet Sauvignon?
Choosing between beer and wine is always a lively topic for debate, although beer is preferred by more Americans who drink. But in recent years, wine has closed the gap in the United States. According to Gallup’s annual Consumption Habits Poll, wine’s popularity has grown nearly equal to beer since 1992. In the latest poll, 36 percent of respondents preferred beer, while 35 percent favored wine.
Local beer and wine drinkers weighed in on the matter on Facebook, casting their votes and sharing their opinions when asked which they prefer: beer or wine.

Wine, on the rare occasions that I drink alcohol. I’m one of those guys who can never finish a bottle of beer. Have just never developed a taste for it. – Brad Hundt
