Corks & Kegs Festival 2016
Now in its second year, the Observer-Reporter’s Corks & Kegs Festival, Aug. 21-22 at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino, is bigger than the first! There are more craft beer selections in the Beer Garden, including Leinenkugel’s, Great Lakes Brewing, Spoonwood Brewing, Church Brew Works, Shawnee Craft Brewing, Levity Brewing Company and Voodoo Brewery. Local wineries at the Wine Bar include J&D Cellars, Christian W. Klay Winery and Thistlethwaite Vineyard. And, to raise the spirits even more, Ridge Runner Distillery is also on board. This year’s Corks & Kegs Marketplace is bursting at the seams, so entire streets have been laid out – think Artisan Avenue, Food Truck Row, Automotive Alley, Style Street and Vendor Way. No Bad Juju, Dancing Queen, The Igniters and The Jaggerz will provide the soundtrack. Admission is free, and $10 will get you a souvenir tasting glass and five samples (single sample tickets are $2). Oh, and if all that wasn’t enough, there’s a Classic Car Cruise on Sunday. For more information, visit corksandkegsfestival.com.
