The Observer-Reporter is excited to launch Mon Valley Living magazine, the newest member of the Observer Publishing Co.’s family of publications!

The bimonthly lifestyles magazine showcases the people and places of the mid-Mon Valley region.

In the premiere edition, we’ll introduce you to a few of the Mon Valley’s movers and shakers, such as community-minded Claudia Williams, who owns a furniture store in downtown Monongahela and has helped make the city’s aquatorium a summertime concert destination.

You’ll also meet John Hartman, chief of the South West Regional Police Department, based in Bell Vernon, who is the subject of our regular “Close-up” feature, as well as members of the Rustic Rhythms, a string band club that meets weekly at Ringgold Middle School.

And if you’re feeling hungry, we’ll help you get your grub on with our “Nibbles” feature, a regular column spotlighting a different Mon Valley restaurant every edition.
