Charged in crash: Clayton Sarkett, 20, of 120A Binns Road, Brownsville, was charged with driving under the influence and other violations, including underage drinking, after his vehicle crossed the center line on Wood Street and struck a parked car head-on early Saturday morning. The impact pushed the parked vehicle into another one, borough police said.

Disorderly charges: Police are filing charges of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and public drunkenness against James Kwiatkowski, 22, of Pittsburgh for threatening to slice several people’s tires with a knife. Borough police said the incident occurred at a student apartment on Second Street Tuesday night.

Two-vehicle crash: Vehicles driven by Margaret Ann Jones, 45, of 578 Western Ave., and Robert M. Lingg, 40, of 1395 Meadowbrook Drive, collided at Morganza Road and Bobby Vinton Drive Monday night. Lingg was slightly injured when his airbag deployed, Canonsburg police said.

Warrant served: Justin Nelson, 29, of 1299 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, accused of kicking Brian Webb in the head during a fight outside Ray’s Place, 864 Meldon Ave., about 1 a.m. Nov. 14, court records show. Nelson is free on $5,000 set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Attempted burglary: An attempted burglary at the home of Jennifer Galla, 139 Crow St., was investigated Monday night by Southwest Regional police. The individual was gone when police arrived.

Juvenile charges: North Franklin police said juvenile charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct will be filed against a 12-year-old boy who fought with his stepmother, Janet Medlens, at 253 Roosevelt St., Tuesday. Medlens told police the boy refused to get out of bed for school and became angry when she threw water on him. He pushed to her the floor, broke two fans and a basement window, did other damage, and then used a metal pipe to break the front signal lights and taillights on her van. He then left the residence and went to school.

Retail changes: Two people were jailed on charges of retail theft and criminal conspiracy Tuesday after stealing more than $1,600 in merchandise from Macy’s at Washington Crown Center. Police charged Stacy L. Salisbury, 37, of Masontown, and Thomas Milton Harbarger, 31, of 268 Thomas Road, Carmichaels, after they were observed stealing the items from the store and putting them in the back seat of their car. They were arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in the Washington County jail.

Driver charged: Brett Folk, 41, of 209 McShane St., Canonsburg, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after police said his vehicle collided with one driven by Morris Cooper Jr., 42, of Latrobe, in the 100 block of Franklin Farms Road Monday night. Police said Folk then tried to leave the scene but was prevented from doing so by other motorists. Cooper was injured when his airbag deployed.
