Family Holiday Escape announced
The 2012 Holiday Escape, a free gathering for Greene County families, featuring a movie, lunch, games and a visit from Santa, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at the Greene County Fairgrounds 4-H Building.
The event is sponsored by the Family Stability community team of the MAGIC collaborative board. This project is a collaborative effort with support from Greene County commissioners and community agencies including Greene County Human Services, Community Action Southwest, Intermediate Unit 1, Value Behavioral Health and other community agencies.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. It is recommended that those attending bring comfortable seating, a blanket, pillow, etc. “The Lorax” will be shown beginning at 11 a.m. A free lunch will be provided. There will be various games and agency information available.
The MAGIC collaborative is comprised of a steering committee and community teams. The purpose of the collaborative is to create an integrated, coordinated community/family based service system to meet the health, education and community needs of Greene County residents.
