No credibilty to rumors of threatening list at McGuffey

1 min read

Rumors surrounding the existence of a threatening list at McGuffey School District were quashed earlier this week following an investigation by administrators.

McGuffey Superintendent Beverly Arbore said rumors of a list with some type of threat on it were verbally reported to the administration Tuesday, prompting a thorough investigation by officials and the school police chief. She said no credible evidence of a threat was found. Furthermore, no such list was discovered and no student could confirm that they actually saw the document, Arbore said. She declined to discuss the nature of the unfounded threat.

Arbore said a recorded message was send out to parents Tuesday to alert them to the investigation into rumors of a threat deemed to be not credible.
