• Federal, state and local government offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will be no mail delivery. Banks and financial markets are also closed.

• Canton Township supervisors will meet at 1 p.m. at the municipal building to approve the 2013 budget.

• Cecil Township supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. at the municipal building to approve the 2013 budget.

• North Franklin Township supervisors will meet at noon at the municipal building.

• Burgettstown Borough Council will meet at 7 p.m. to adopt the 2013 budget and for any other business.

• Houston Borough Council will meet at 7:02 p.m. to adopt the 2013 budget and for any other business.
