Club chooses girl of the month
Nicolette Hughes, a senior at Carmichaels Area High School, was chosen by the Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club as its girl of the month for December.
Hughes is a daughter of Arlene and Chuck Hughes of Carmichaels. She is a member of the National Honor Society, drama club, ladies ensemble choir, chorus, Students Against Destructive Decisions and the student council. She is also an announcer for high school basketball games and serves as an office aide.
Her out-of-school activities include membership in the Actors and Artists of Fayette County and the youth group of Shoaf Free Methodist Church.
Her future plans are to attend college to pursue a career in speech pathology/audiology
