Bar to be cited: The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement said it will cite Hilltop Bar on Fourth Street for a July 26 liquor law violation in which a bartender was drinking on duty.
Burglary: A temporary door at the under-construction St. Clair Hospital Outpatient Center, 3428 Washington Road, McMurray, was forced open, but nothing appeared to have been stolen, township police said. The burglary was reported at 7:09 a.m. Friday.
One injury: One driver was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 5:06 p.m. Thursday at the north intersection of Washington and Old Oak roads, township police said. Vehicles driven by Susan Matysik, 53, of 337 Long Drive, Upper St. Clair, and Lisa DiBartila, 56, of 142 Seneca Drive, Mt. Lebanon, were stopped for the traffic signal when their vehicles were struck by another northbound vehicle driven by Renee Loriso, 62, of 1419 Lexington Drive, Venetia, police said. Loriso complained of pain and was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital, where she was treated and released, according to a hospital spokeswoman. The two other drivers were not injured. Police said blood was drawn from Loriso and the investigation continues.
Bad checks: The same man wrote two bad checks in two jewelry stores before 12:55 p.m. Thursday, township police said. A ring was purchased in one store and earrings were purchased in the other, for a total of $1,100, police said. Reporting the bad checks were Monti Jewelers, 4000 Washington Road, and Ubranowicz Jewelers, 115 E. McMurray Road, both in McMurray.
Two-vehicle accident: Connor Doyle Tarwater, 24 of Sherborne Court, McMurray, told police he was making a left turn at 11:03 p.m. Wednesday on Route 19 near Dam Road and could not control his vehicle before striking another vehicle driven by Sarah Natalie Stark, 25, of 114 Fulton Drive, Venetia, township police said. Tarwater did not complain of an injury. However, Stark was taken to St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon. The hospital does not release patients’ conditions.
Man injured: Thomas Barnicott, 85, of 369 Dale Road, Bethel Park, was taken to Canonsburg General Hospital following a one-vehicle accident at 9:54 a.m. Wednesday on West McMurray Road at Roscommon Place, township police said. He was later transferred to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. A witness told police he noticed Barnicott’s vehicle begin to fishtail before it struck a utility pole.
