Charged in assault: Travis Wolfe, 22, of Washington, was arrested by state police for allegedly assaulting Zachary Seibert, 21, of Washington, during a confrontation about 9 p.m. Thursday at 172 Prigg Road, Canton. Wolfe was arraigned Friday before District Judge David Mark on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. Police said they did not know the extent of Seibert’s injuries.

Escapes injury: Michelle M. Sims, 38, of Fredericktown, escaped injury Friday morning when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel of her vehicle as it went around a bend on Route 40 near Buckingham Road, North Bethlehem, and hit a guardrail, state police said.
