Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Brian R. Bashur, 26, of 606 McMahon Ave., Monessen; false identification to law enforcement, driving with a suspended license; charged following a traffic stop Nov. 19 at Fifth Street and Railroad Way, Charleroi; sentence – 1 day to 12 months of probation, $200 fine, 1-year license suspension.

Paul Carrington, 27, of 400 Duncan Ave., Apt. 2, Washington; disorderly conduct; charged for walking nude at Jefferson and Hall avenues, Washington, Jan. 13; sentence – 5 days to 12 months of probation.

Appearing before Judge Edward Borkowski were:

Robert Leech Jr., 21, of 532 Church Hill Road, Venetia; harassment; charged Aug. 21 for putting his father in a chokehold until he almost passed out Aug. 20 at their residence.

Percy L. Dudley Jr., aka Percy Williams, 27, of 656 Fayette St., Washington; possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance; charged April 27, 2011, in the parking lot of Walgreen’s, Chestnut Street at Jefferson Avenue, Washington, and Nov. 2, 2011, at Red Roof Inn, Canton Township; sentence – 9 to 23 months in jail followed by 12 months of probation.

Jesse J. Stoner, 20, of 695 Penn Ave., Washington; possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Dec. 28 at 229 Latimer Ave., Strabane, during an arrest warrant being served; sentence – 12 months of probation consecutive to previous charges.

Kristie Wilson, 21, of 10 Mondin Lane, Burgettstown; possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; charged July 22, 2011, at Washington Avenue and Prospect Street, Midway; Jan. 20, 2012, at 1203 Second St., Robinson Township; and June 22 at Washington Park; sentence – 6 to 12 months in jail with first 90 days on intensive supervision followed by 12 months probation.

Ryan W. Miller, 33, of 614 Cummins Ave., Houston; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 4 following a traffic stop at Chevy Chase Road, Union Township, with a BAC of 0.278 percent; sentence – 6 to 23 months on electronic home monitoring with work release, with the first 3 months to be served on a SCRAM monitor, $1,500, 18-month license suspension.

Arthur E. Shumar Jr., 37, of 244 Stone Church Road, Grindstone; second offense of DUI; charged July 14 during a traffic stop in front of 57 Main St., West Brownsville; sentence – 6 to 23 months on home monitoring with work release, with the first 3 months on SCRAM, $1,500, 18-month license suspension.

Laurieann Callahan, 49, of 3278 Millers Run Road, Cecil; second offense of DUI; charged Aug. 27 following a traffic stop in ecil Township with a BAC of 0.136 percent; sentence – 30 days to 6 months on home monitoring with work release, $300 fine, 12-month license suspension.

Terrance Carter, 38, of 1054 Marelda Ave., Donora; second offense of DUI, driving with a suspended license; charged July 22 following a crash on Route 837 and Donora Road, Carroll Township, with a BAC of 0.203 percent, and charged Aug. 25 following a traffic stop at 13th St. at Marelda Ave., Donora, and refusing to take a chemical test; sentence – 90 days in jail followed by 6 months on home monitoring, $4,200 fine.

James D. Hookey III, 29, 514 McNary St., Canonsburg; first offense of DUI; charged Nov. 30 following a crash at 274 Muse Bishop Road, Muse, with a BAC of 0.154 percent; sentence – 10 days to 6 months on home monitoring, $500 fine, 12-month license suspension.
