Washington County Coroner Tim Warco has identified the victim of a single-car accident Monday night on West Chestnut Street in Washington.

Warco says 56-year-old Emma K. Danley of Giffin Avenue in Canonsburg was driving east on West Chestnut shortly after 8:30 p.m. when her car crossed the center line and the opposing lane of traffic before striking an apartment building at 391 West Chestnut, across the street from Mm Mm Pizza.

Police say Danley, who was alone in the compact car, might have suffered a medical emergency before the crash. She was taken to the emergency room at Washington Hospital, where she died.

Warco said an autopsy will be performed to determine the case of death.
