1 min read

A second suspect was arraigned in the theft of scrap metal from property owned by Maple Creek Mine and the Norfolk and Southern Railroad.

Robert Scott Leach, 40, of Courtney, along with Anthony Martin, 31, of Monongahela, and Chad Paul Coyle, 31, of Bentleyville, were each charged by Carroll Township police with theft, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass for the March 23 incident.

Leach, who is also charged with trespass by motor vehicle, was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond. Martin, who is also charged with trespass by motor vehicle, waived his case to court last week. He is free on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Police have obtained a warrant for Coyle’s arrest.
