Washington woman charged in assault

1 min read

A Washington woman was arraigned Tuesday on charges filed in the connection with an assault on another Washington woman last month in Jollick Manor.

Courtney Hoffman, 22, of 154 N. College St., was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting Trina Tiowell and cutting her with a knife.

Tiowell told Washington police that she was getting out of her car in front of 158 Jollick Manor on March 5 when Hoffman approached her and started punching her. Hoffman then cut Tiowell with a knife until she was able to grab it from her attacker. Tiowell was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment of cuts on her chest, stomach, armpit and hands.

Hoffman was released on her own recognizance.
